Multiple affiliate programs

Hello everyone, first time starting a topic in the AM forum.

I'm currently developing a series of sites for a client that will sell widgets themed for their town. They want to sell t-shirts/mugs/stuffs with custom designs through CafePress, books & CD's from Amazon, and whatever else they can find that relates to their town or their type of town on CJ or other affiliate programs. Is there any rule against having 3 or 4 different affiliate programs on the same site? There will also be content related to their area (news and articles) which will most likely be Adsense ads. Hopefully as this town booms it will become a good success. As a developer it will be inspiring to see if this works for them because I'd like to take on my own AM programs.

Hi, I have loads of different aff programs on the same site. Some merchants aren't too happy if you place competitors ads on the same page. One of my sites has 10 different merchants on one page and it does fine.
