If I was to start promoting affiliate programs that sell spyware removal tools, (there are numerous ones for sale through clickbank and other sites) will the spyware tools remove cookies or other tracking methods that enable me to get a commission for the sale?

Just wondering if anyone is promoting these affiliate programs and what type of results you are getting.

I tried it for a while without much success. I'm not sure if it was my fault or if maybe the average surfer doesn't understand what spyware is. I frequently hear complaints from friends/family that their computer is slow and shows a lot of popups. They never say "I have tons of spyware/scumware on my computer"

I checked popular search words on one of the search engines and spyware came up 2nd, so I think it is a popular term.

I have a site which does just that and it does OK.

There's also a version of it linked to a popular aff forum which I guess does OK, or it wouldn't still exist.

Yes many of them eat cookies so be careful what you spread around or it may come back to bite you in the wallet.
