I have been promoting affiliate programs with slight success directly from adwords to vendor. Of course this takes considerable time tuning and perfecting (and monitoring) running campaigns; you'll never know when your sales take a nosedive!
Now I wish to diversify my approach. I have chosen a niche and started building a content site, which I plan to monetize when (if?) it starts to get enough visitors. To accomplish this I'm in the process of putting up a) a lot of content and b) gather a sh*tload of backlinks.
Now... putting up a content site takes a) time, b) money, c) a lot of hard work, d) patience. (not even talking about getting traffic) Since my strong points are not a) b) c) and d) ;-) my brain is already reaching out to try to find smarter ways to make a buck..
Unfortunately I haven't found any yet and thus would like to pose the question here :
- content yea or nay?
- which other ways if nay?
thank you for reading through my frust-rant...

Keep at it with your content site. If it fails, try again with a different approach. The worst thing you can do is jump around from one thing to the next with no real focus (thus never completing any project).
If you don't have 'b', it will be difficult to become successful without a, c, and d. Possible, but difficult. Work hard, but work smart.
