made me start wondering. Shri and most others here will be able to tell (my assumption) in fairly short order if a new site is going to do well. What is a good baseline for someone like me with no track record to set my expectations. I plan on choosing a topic which will include some competetive and non-competetive kw pages. I will not be spending any money to drive traffic to my site, relying only on links and SEs.
So my question is this -If I follow the 26 steps (as originally posted by Brett) what would be a fair expectation of profits (Adsense and Affiliate). I know there are countless variables and I'm not looking for exact numbers, more along the lines of 'after 3/6/12 months if your traffic is at least x you should be making on average 3/4/5 digits per month.'
Although this is a topic I have quite a bit of interest in I would hate to spend the next 12 months devoting all my time to it only to when I could have seen some signs at 3 or 6 months that it would probably never be profitable.
All you can do is try, after a year if you don't make the money you were expecting to make, it's still time well spent learning on your mistakes. You have to start somewhere, that's the way I look at it.
