I run a very content specific website, and it's grown to the point where I've been asked repeatedly to sell ad space to companies wishing to advertise their products on my site via banner. At the moment I'm only selling text advertising via MarketBanker, but I'd like to expand to banner advertising.

But after a long time of looking at different ad servers/ad firms, I haven't found one that's really convinced me to to go with them. Since my site is entertainment related, I've looked at what other sites in my area are using, and it's usually Burst Net or Gorilla Nation. I've also seen some ad servers that has been rather hard to locate the company behind it.

In your experience, what company do you know is the easiest to work with, that you can recommend to act as a middleman to sell my ad space with? Again, my site is entertainment (specifically movies) based.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Google. Try adsense out before you go with the banner companies. Keep in mind adsense works differently for many people... but its worth a try.

Adsense has worked the best for most people in most situations. It has become my first choice (not necessarily the final choice).

I have a list of sites that you can be a partner advertiser with (supply them inventory - traffic) but it's against the TOS to publish links.

I had no idea Google offered this kind of service! I'll have to look into it...
