We're looking to take our affiliate program in-house (away from CJ), but I can't seem to find the right affiliate software. It's a small part of our marketing strategy, so it can't occupy months of my life. Here's our requirements:

- Search engine friendly URLs
- IE6 P3P compatibility
- Windows / IIS platform

Our site is custom-built from the ground up (transactional e-commerce) in ASP.Net. Any input? Are there more requirements that I should be considering? I've looked at some of the programs out there and half of them seem fly-by-night, and the other half don't meet the criteria.

There are a lot of scripts out there if you search at www.hotscripts.com or any of the other scripting sites.

Hi Ben -

I can't speak to the tech requirements, but both MyAffiliateProgram from KowaBunga! Technologies and DirectTrack offer SE friendly links.

I'd suggest getting on the phone with each of these companies - both have been around a while, and are definitely not fly by night.

i also suggest Direct Track...a very good piece of software.

something else to keep in mind is approaching companies directly if you can get enough volume, so that you can benefit from a higher commission.

direct track is good for this. I"m sure MYAP is also good.
