Thinking about it. Need to get the permission slip signed (by my wife).

The hotel looks sweet.

Has anyone been to any of the previous ones? Is it worth it?

I am new on the forum. Queen here. I plan on going but would like to make sure it is worth it. I am flying from Canada. Resort is sweet, but too expensive. I found a few places 5 minutes away for lots cheaper. Are these seminars, which are also pricy, worth it? Do we really walk away with info, and networking that is really going to translate into money.?

Gotta make reservations soon.

I can't believe I've never gone, but am considering it. So busy, just don't if I can make the time.

What I have gathered (in a nutshell) is that if you are a newbie very focused on CJ, you can learn a lot, if you are a mid tier affiliate you can cement some good relationshipes. If you are an experienced affiliate or an affiliate manager, it's worth it just for the networking. I have also heard the info all really centers around CJ and how they do things so if you are a newbie looking for info on how to get started in affiliate marketing in general, I don't think that's what you will get there.

queen,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

For those going to the conference, could someone please address CJ regarding the parasiteware / scumware issue and post the response?

your analysis sounds like a good one. I would like to get started with cj. I am doing well now. However, I would like to do better and I see that some of the advertisers pay 3 - 18 dollars per lead using banners. I need to network and find out how I can make more money cutting out all the middlemen.

I've been to every CJU and can say it's recommended if you want to meet existing clients or find new clients. The mix seems to be mostly advertisers. I used to go to learn about affiliate marketing however the material is pretty generic. Usually there is one good speaker, kind of like a hired gun, to kick off the event. The other sessions are so basic it's almost insulting however the best thing about CJU is the networking...and the beach. The conference is held on a hotel that's on the beach.

Thanks for the insight on the cj seminar. I think I will pass. Too bad. I really would like to find out the ins and outs of working cj, but it is not worth it for me to spend almost 2,000 plus for airfare, hotel, car rental etc.

I signed up at cj and did not realize that when they asked me for my "website" that it would be the website that they would submit to the advertisers.
I got turned down by the one advertiser I was the most interested in. I had a few **** links on the site.

Also, it would be nice to know which companies pay the best....and to get inside advice from fellow
affiliates on how to work the cj system the best.

IF there is anyone out there that will help me, I will use you as a referral. (is there a referral plan in place at cj? I plan on making a ton of money at cj. I am already making quite a bit.
I had to cancel my account at cj and will start over
when I have the "proper" website for review.

Searched online and saw rows of palm trees as far as the eye can see.

I'm there.

The only question now is when to arrive and depart:

iblaine, any suggestions?

It starts sunday afternoon and ends tuesday afternoon so most people will fly in on sunday and fly out tuesday. If you want to soak in some sun, I suggest coming in on saturday. The few big events are probably going to be the keynote speaker on monday, the dinner that night, then the live question & answer session on tuesday. Not much has changed over the years so that's probably the setup.

FYI, I read recently that the attendance is limited to 400, and they may be selling out soon.
