I knew I had seen a Budweiser background image somewhere... it was Marketwatch

CBS MarketWatch.com Hops On Revenue-Hunting Bandwagon [internetnews.com]

In addition to a rich media "window" -- similar to the Internet Advertising Bureau's proposed 336x280 "large rectangle," and the formats currently in use by other publishers like CNET Networks, Disney and internet.com -- the company is selling space on its Web page backgrounds, also known as "wallpaper."

BTW, KUDOS to Budweiser for giving it a shot.

I think this is going to be a really good boost in net ads for those who have well-known brands and/or logos.

That's an awesome idea that Bud had to place their images on Fridays. Would have definitely had me on the end-of-the-week-happy-hour.

Imagine a site that serves up pages based on your geographic location and time, a couple pages pop-up with some beer or soda logos along with popular pizza delivery chain. It would have me grabbing for the phone on certain days.
