Norton Blocking Ads

Apparently a new Norton update is blocking banner ads of standard sizes, as the default.

You got a 125 x 125 banner on your site - someone viewing it with this new Norton update won't see anything. It may also be blocking standard affiliate netword urls.

I'm still sketchy on details, just a heads up.

Anyone actually noticed anything - conversions down?

I've posted all about it at all the other affiliate forums and built a page that shows how and what it strips. It actually rips out the html at the source code level. Blocks about 200 words including most affiliate networks,
all common banner sizes and even Indies if banner or text link URLS have /banner or /ad in the link structure. Yes it even wipes out some text links and totally changes the content of the page. It will EVEN delete your own site logo or other images on your site if they happen to be standard banner sized images. I don't think I can post links to other forums or my page full of examples here.

Everyone needs to get the free trial of Norton Internet Security and test your sites. Ad Blocking is ON by default, it's not an option you have to turn on. I have many people testing workarounds and solutions. Also am trying to get more people to complain to Norton and the affiliate networks to try to get some changes made.
