Overture for publishers?

I'm not sure if this is part of the Overture partner program, but I have seen some websites that offer highlighting of certain 'key'words that are infact overture links to other advertisers. I looked at OV's site, but I haven't really seen anything that discusses this program. I looked at OV's Content Match, but that doesn't seem to be what this feature is. The devshed seems to have a lot of these
A good example of what I am trying to describe is in action here:
http://www.devshed.com/c/a/Administration/Mambo-Open-Source-Content-Management-System/

If you scroll down to where the word "Content Management System" appears, it is a hyperlink provided by overture to go to one of their advertisers' sites.
I would assume devshed gets compensated by OV for this type of linking.
Is this something OV offers as part of their partner program or something else?

Thanks :)

It is the Intellitext contextual advertising by Vibrant Media. It only works in IE. It used to be most commonly seens as green double underlined links with the mouseovers, but I have recently begun seeing them in different colors and styles as well.

They can be slow to load, particularly on larger pages and forums, and I suspect many visitors click just to find out what the funny looking double underlines mean. And many surfers don't like them from a usability level.

Ah so that's what it is. Good to know :)
That is stinky it doesn't work for other browsers, didn't think to check at first, but it clearly seems to be an IE only thing.
Vibrant Media's website doesn't seem to be that clear on how much one would make from that program..I just thought it was an interesting feature, and wanted to know what it was from.
I can certainly see how people wouldn't like them, but they are intriguing so people might click! Of course like anything, if users get used to seeing them, they will just eventually gloss over and ignore them.

Hi

I do a similar thing with a CMS based site I run. We use an Autolink option where you can specify a word or phrase and enter a URL for it to be linked to. I modified the code to use a javascript popup instead of a standard href link and then open up the results page for the keyword (using our PPC partner account) when someone clicks it. I have it appear as just a standard link rather than double underlined, and it works perfectly across all browsers.

If you're running dynamic pages you should be able to get some code together that returns a similar type system for whichever PPC partner you're using.

Sticky me for details if you want them.

cheers
