Being an affiliate, does this effect google results?

Hi All,

I'm an affiliate and my main cart system products are displayed via a frame on my site. Does this affect my search result rankings as most of the content is not on my site?

I've heard that google does not spider whats in the frame so I would assume the less information googlebot collects, the less info is indexed and the less well your site will perform.
I have also heard that it is possible to optimize the no frames content in an effort to improve google rankings.
All in all I believe the easiest route is to steer clear of framesets and try to generate content rich pages that relate to the product you are trying to punt.
