Hi,

I need advise on which affiliate network I should join in U.S.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between big affiliate company like C.J. vs small company like sharesale? I understand that by joining big company does not mean you will get many affiliate in a short period of time. However, isn't that the reason WHY you join big company because of their big affiliate networks?

thank you

In my opinion you should start with a question relating to your business model. The question is whether you are prepared to go and find (and manage) your own affilliates or whether you have too many other things to do to bother. Affilliates need help, support and encouragement to work effectively.

If you ARE prepared to do this, then you need to buy software or some integration - which is cheap but may or may need fit in to your commerce package.

If you AREN'T then it will cost you a third of all your commissions for CJ or someone large to do it for you but you can't beat the big boys for building a network.

again, assuming the latter, I advize you to become an affilliate of each of the big boys then go in and see how you like the way they encourage you into new programs.

Dixon.

I think cj, ls or befree are the most important ones.

If you have enough money, I'd go for 2 of them because most affiliates should be covered them.

If your money is limited, try to setup your own affiliate program, but try to give the affiliates the best deal you can, because it's harder for them to keep track of several merchants instead of a few affiliate-networks.

I personally prefer the in-house programs because you get a better deal and have a direct contact to the merchant.
