Hundreds of Products... or just a few?

Targetting or blanketing, which works best?

I read a post recently about someone trying to add 5 new products a day to their website. I'm curious about which has proven more effective for you guys:

A. Focus on a strong niche and target the hell out of it (try to optimize your conversion ratios, focus your PPC on a select few products)

B. Focus on a broad niche (sic) and try to cover every product possible in that category

I know that Content is King, and that adding content on a regular basis is great - but what of adding products on a daily basis?

it really really depends on your industry. I can't even give you a useful response. Can you see what your competitors are doing? Do they go niche or broad? Can you project what your costs and return would be in both scenerios to see if that helps make sense out of it?
