So here I am in a quandary: do I show brand+higher price, or nobrand+low price? I suppose I'll be answering my own question by saying post both and let them choose - check the conversions and then take it from there.
Wow, that was a quick response! Thanks WW forum :)
more on a general theory of things, how does brand vs price affect your choices of affiliates? do you find that most average online users are not savvy or trusting of online commerce that you must necessarily go for Amazon big name brand in order for them to buy, or price can override this concern? I'm talking fairly inexpensive products at around $60 or so. What has been your experiences?
Are you talking about AdWords? If you are, start an AdGroup, run two Ads for the same product, with the same description, just change the price and the name (State the price in the Ad, so it's fair).
If you're advertising on your website, try putting them both up, but the cheaper, no name brand, on the top (Again, just to make it fair).
I think you'll find people are very well mixed between trust and price. Also, free shipping is a big deal (although it seems everyone has free shipping these days!).
I'm interested to hear your results :) Have fun!
