Merchant using multiple affiliate networks

We are a merchant site thinking of joining several affiliate networks. We want to first experiment with the lower cost networks such as clixgalore before dishing out the big bucks for the large networks such as CJ.

My question is it possible to join several affiliate networks at the same time? How does tracking work with multiple networks? If html 'end of sale' code (which is placed in the shopping cart or on 'order confirmation'/'thank you' page, how would one handle that?

Do we call each of the 'end of sale' code from our thankyou page for every affiliate network you have?

Also if someone wants to become an affiliate, do we list all the networks we are on and give them a choice of which affiliate network they wish to join?

Pretty new to this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, stay clear away from clixgalore. The support is close to non-existent, and they close merchant accounts with money still in the account if they feel that they want to. Start with Shareasale. Each merchant program that you start would give you a tracking code to place on your order page or tank you page. That will be how they track the orders or leads from their affiliates.

In terms of how to promote the program on your site, just give them the option to apply for either program at their discretion.

Hope that starts your off on the right foot.

Hi Compuworld!

Thanks for your participation.

Curious if others have had similiar negative experience with clixglore. I will definitely look into shareasale.
Appreciate hearing other recommendations of affiliate networks that have low startup cost.

mals-e have a combined shopping system with built in affilliate tracking. Works quite well for virtually free (£60 a year or so).

One guy operation mind, so if he dies, so does the support.
