Hi.
i came upon this group by mistake a while ago. i have read many of the postings. what i would like to know is do you have to build your own website for affiliate business or can you buy one of the shelf? if so how much, were etc. as you may well tell i'm a newbie to this so any help would be great, i'm not asking much just a complete top to bottom run down of the affiliate business.also i'm from england if that matters.like i said any help would be great. many thanks.

You can get templates for free all you have to do then is cut and paste the aff links.

My2cents, build your own sites and play around with a few different types of affilate programs to see what works for you. Also, if you are serious about being into the affilate biz "fulltime" some day then I would read the last 500 post here in WW on affilate programs.

Pick three type approaches:
- a portal with all sorts of categories
- a specialty store, focus and load it up with performance merchant links
- a targeted, themed content site that you start from scratch and approach suitable merchants as of built content

Most important as you start: Read this board, Study this board, participate in discussions at this board...EVERYTHING I know I learned here!

Is that the right sales pitch Brett?
;-)

Take three years to five to build a valuable business or secondary income or drop the hammer by then. Anyhoo: the journey is worth every sleepless night, it's exciting times...

PS: Also, did I mention to read this board...
