Not so good for the consumer. A lot of people find out about new drugs for their conditions through all kinds of advertising, online and off. It's a way to disseminate information to the public. Doctors are not always up on the latest and get a lot of their information from the medical detailers the pharm companies sent out. Often the consumer finds out about just what they need through an ad someplace and to get it they have to bring it up first to their doctor or they'd never get to try it. Plus more people are doing online research about their medical conditions.

What exactly happened after the UK decision? Can you elaborate? I understand google.co.uk and Overture UK stopped taking ads but did the whole business of online selling of prescription drugs and affiliation stop altogether for pharmacies in the UK?

Even I am keen to know what would happen to all those drug ads and drug affiliate programs.
