How to target UK with a .com domain?

Is it possible?

I want to target the UK audience exclusively with a .com domain because I am not a UK national and dont want to go through the hassles of a UK domain registration.

Is this possible at all?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

UK domain registration costs ~£10 and it's as easy as buying a .com!

If you're targeting the UK, I recommend you get a UK domain.

I see at a few places that you need to register for two years .. Then again, I am not sure what the implications of VAT are ..

Are you sure there are no issues for a foreign national registering uk domains.

no problemo what so ever.

anyone can register a .co.uk domain name, and ALL registrations are for 2 years.

If you are targetting the UK, then get a .co.uk domain (imo)

No implications for VAT - you just pay it :)

~$15, all in, for 2 years.

Thanks guys for the prompt responses.

Can you suggest a good domain registrar which offers a good mix of quality and price?

How about VAT on the income you earn via let us say, amazon.co.uk? How does that affect a foreign national?

easily.co.uk or 123reg.co.uk are the best by far, and have been featured on webmasterworld a number of times.

at least you know your name will be in safe hands.

and don't worry, the fact you own a .co.uk domain has no relevance on tax implications etc etc, just carry on doing business as always.
