Hi All,

Hope I'm not too late in mentioning this. As many of you probably know eBay announced its top keyword list for advertisers. Am just wondering what people think about it as an avenue for new clicks?

I don't think Overture or Google use it for context ads yet (am i wrong?).

Here's an interesting article today I saw about it on the Motley Fool.

[fool.com...]

Once again, I apologize if this is old news.

thx.

Nelson.

Ya we talked about that one last month. One thing that article seems to have missed (only skimmed it) was that DoubleClick is providing the technology, which is the DART platform.

So it seems to be a merger of two lessor players to do "something" in the lucrative CPC arena, but only for Ebay stores...still, the userbase is huge, and makes Ebay look even more attractive to anybody that hasn't (yet) jumped on board.

For the original thread from June 24th, check this out:

I think this might anger some of the smaller players on Ebay. Let's say I have a decent producing product but can't afford the $$$ to run the ad. Thus some huge company like IBM pushes me out of business. I think it's a bad idea for them.

Just my two cents,
