Not Accepted in Affiliate Network - Why?

Hi Friends here,
I've encountered a problem when I am applying "linkshare"
affiliate programs.But many affiliate programs reject me without taking just a look.It said my website cann't meet one or more of their criterions?I don't know what's their criterions and I really have a good site.Maybe they ban any ip from China or some other countries?

MY SITUATION IS:
I AM IN CHINA AND MY WEBSITE HOSTED IN CHINA.

Thank you for your help in advance.And if it is possible,hope you can give me some suggestion to MEET THEIR CRITERIONS.

Hi, is your site still under construction. Many merchants will reject you initially if this is the case but you can re apply once your site is up and they will then accept you.
Well, thats what I found any way.
I don't know if you being in China will have an effect but you could try hosting your site in the country you are targetting.

It really depends on where your users/visitors are based.

Sometimes companies assume your traffic is related to your location, or your web host's location.

Contact the company, ask them why you were denied.

You definitely won't get into any per-click or per-free-registration offers. There's just far too much fraud from Asia and no law enforcement. A lot of innocent webmasters are no doubt being hurt by this situation, but if you don't like it you'll have to take it up with your national authorities and the "hacked by China" brigade.

I don't know what your site is, but from your profile I can see you're interested in doing mailing lists. Spam from China is a huge problem and, needless to say, merchants don't want to be associated with spam either.

Some of the programs are set up to automatically reject affiliates who reside outside of the US (even if their target market IS the US), without even looking at the affiliate's site.

Maybe the The mailing list I mentioned in my profile is different from your thinking.This mailing list is where my visitors can subscribe to my website and receive my newsletters,it's not spam use

I don't know anything about your online activities, so I wasn't intending to imply that you were sending spam. But it IS a potential problem for merchants.

Another issue is that merchants don't necessarily want customers from distant countries like China. It sounds crazy and maybe it is, but shipping can be difficult, communications can be difficult, there's a high risk of credit card fraud, and in fact many credit card services will not approve ANY online charges from countries like China.

However, if your site is in English, and especially if it gets a lot of U.S. traffic, you can sometimes explain the situation to a vendor and they will approve you after taking a look.

You can't fight the system. Look at others in China to see who they are using as a sponsor.

You almost certainly are going to have to look for something on commission. If your site has good traffic - then this shouldn't be a problem.

Another thing that causes rejections is if you have typed in the wrong spelling of your website. Any merchant who manually approves affiliates will deny your application if they get a 404 error, or a website not found page when they try to look over your website. This happened to me on BeFree until I reviewed my profile and saw a typo in my URL to my Domain. After correcting the typo I reapplied and was approved by most of those merchants.

Linkshare also requests your URL, in your account profile, for merchants to look you over before approving you. I know that because I joined them today and have been manually approved by several merchants.
