Just got E-Mail from Amazon about their Amazon.CA announcement that they've launched tiered compensation to affiliates on their .ca system. The e-mail says its new, I haven't done any CA sites or link to .ca affiliates myself but this seems like it can be a real plus for those heavily into affiliate sales for the .ca amazon system :)

Below is the chart detailing the Q2 Tiered Structure for Amazon.ca:

Tier 1: 1-10 units
Tier 1: 4.50% of Qualifying Revenues
Tier 1: 0 non-book items

Tier 2: 11-25 units
Tier 2: 5.00% of Qualifying Revenues
Tier 2: 1 non-book items

Tier 3: 26-75 units
Tier 3: 5.50% of Qualifying Revenues
Tier 3: 2 non-book items

Tier 4: 76-250 units
Tier 4: 6.00% of Qualifying Revenues
Tier 4: 6 non-book items

Tier 5: 251-1,500 units
Tier 5: 6.50% of Qualifying Revenues
Tier 5: 20 non-book items

Tier 6: 1,501-5,000 units
Tier 6: 7.00% of Qualifying Revenues

Unless you have huge volumes, I didn't see it as any better than the original system so I chose Classic.

It also said something about having to meat certain minimums and mandatory use of certain types of links. I wasn't impressed with the tiered system.
