Obviously an account with thousands and thousands of friends can be used to advertise. I was thinking along the lines of pay per lead and have people sign up for websites such as the many free ipod/xbox's advertisers out there. Could anyone please recommend a reliable affiliate program that allows advertising to friends on myspace, as well as provides good pay per lead opportunities.

I thought myspace didn't allow affiliate links?

I am referring to my friends in bulletins and messages.

I think myspace, now owned by FOX, is going to clamp down on affiliate advertising. Plus myspace users are getting more aware of people trying to advertise to them via bulletins and/or friend requests. I know I ignore the obvious ads. If I wanted to make serious money... I would try to create the next internet phenomenon rather than suck off the teet of myspace ;)

I understand the long-term potential is certainly not there. I do, however, just want to give it a try. Are there any affiliate programs out there that would accept(/tolerate) this kind of advertising. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

it is highly unlikely due to the fact myspace is very unmoderated. start building a website of your own and the possibilities are endless :)
