What should I charge for this advertisement offering?

Wish someone advice on how finance site charge for advertisement

I am doing affiliate and google adsense on some stuff, yesterday somebody approach me about advertising on my site, they are asking:"
Please reply with last month impressions, unique
user traffic and ad space availability. We are looking for targeted traffic and can offer a verity of compensations for such (CPM, CPC, CPA,
Flat Rate, Affiliate Program, % and more)."
I don't have any tool to monitor the traffic sending rate, and thinking to ask for a monthly flate rate. May i know how should i measure my site's traffic with a reasonable advertising fees. For example, i have 500 unique visitor pe month and 5000 pages viewed impression. How does the fees differ by main site and sub site?
Do you think $300 per month is reasonable? Should i receive money first before advertise or vice versa?
Really need your advice..

It really depends on your content and what it is worth to the advertiser. Check out the site they want to advertise, does it fit with your content, is it competitive?

500 uniques per month is really small in terms of general traffic. Saying that, a highly targetted site with a good conversion rate could charge a decent price for advertising.

Check out your competitors. Do any of them post a rate card or advertising info?

If you can't find any of that information, just propose your fee.

I'd collect the money in advance if possible, until you've built a trusting relationship with the advertiser.

Really thanks for your advice. The advertiser is from marketing site and I believe they'd like to place adword at my site. They are offering two option. Option A is $250 flat rate pay in advance while option B is $170 CPA. may i know what do you think compare to market price?

If I had only the traffic you do, I'd jump on the $250 per month. It depends though on what you want.

If you think it's fair, then go for it.

Start at $500 amd see what the response is. Don't go any lower than $200, IMO.
