Need some advise on promoting site

I build a new website about banner ads but need advice how to promote it

Hi I build a new website and I need some advice how to get some traffic to get more content. I allready signed up at Google, Yahoo, MSN and the Open Directory.. what more can I do? thanks

How about creating more pages on what your sites about also a good way to start out sometimes is signing up for Yahoo! Search Marketing pay per click and Google Adwords, but keep in mind Yahoo Search! marketing has a $25 a month minimum spend I believe so it may not be worth it right now....

Zillion, since you are a new member your site doesn't show up in your profile to other members. You can see it, but no one else will be able to until you have made a certain number of posts....

So you might want to say a bit more about your site. You say it's "about banner ads." Do you mean that it's a site about banner advertising--how it works, what the best programs are, etc.? Or do you mean it's "all about" banner ads, meaning you just want to attract them?

Ways to get traffic..

1) Free

Spend time learning SEO and build links so that the site ranks higher in the free search engine listings for your target keywords. Webmasterworld has everything you'll ever need to learn the necessary skills.

2) Paid

Use Pay Per Click advertising on Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and others to buy cliks for your given keywords.

1) is significantly cheaper than 2) but takes much longer to show results.
