Hi ,

We have a social website that is getting 95.5% of its traffic from outside promotion (Radio Program.) And only 0.4% from Search engine. We are getting 170,000 visits per month, about 55,000 uniques. Our revenues stems from paid membership only right now. We've open the site 7 months ago.

What kind of revenues could we expect with this kind of traffic and which would be the best solution for our demographic to reach our goal. Adsense, SEO etc..

Thank you for your assistance.

J.F

You state something completely different in another thread:
// Our site will be free until we can get the momentum and registrations.//
...and it looks like somebody keeps editing your posts.

...and I just wasted another precious minute responding here...(sigh)

Sorry for the confusion. This post is for an active social site that we manage. We are launching a new one of our own as well.

Two separate subjects.

Thank you

J.

anybody?

We didn't actually plan to use methods that could drive traffic away from our site. So I guess PPC, PPL are not an option. Not sure why I added that in my post.

SEO seems to be something we are badly lacking. 0.4% of our traffic coming from the SE. We could probably do much better with a good ranking. We currently have 2,600 Paid members for 55,000 Free. Everyone comes from Radio. Could we have aa significant result from SEO? What would be the best way to go about it?. Many SEO specialists offers link building in thier package but many uses farm links which I've heard could hurt your ranking on google and the others. How do they build Links without actually doing links exchange with other sites.

What could we expect moneywise from SEO with our situation if it's done right. and with our kind of traffic.

Thank you much

Can you give more information about the site. Different types of sites seem to justify different techniques.

"What kind of revenues could we expect with this kind of traffic and which would be the best solution for our demographic to reach our goal. Adsense, SEO etc.."

In this business everything depends on your niche. For my niche, which is not one of the bigger money makers, we look at a CTR of 1% and per click revenue of about $.2.

As for SEO, of course it will help any website if it is done properly. I've been reading posts on this website for about a month, and it has helped me incredibly. I would suggest spending hours on this website researching your niche. Use the search feature for specific questions that you have pertaining to your site. Almost everything is on there already.

Good luck!

with 55,000 uniques per month (depending of course on your sites subject-matter/keywords), you should expect the following:

adsense - $300-500/mo
cpm ads - $100-200/mo (based on your 170,000 pageviews)
high end banner ads $1000-2000/mo

Wait a minute- is this site focusing on a "forum" for its daily traffic?
If so- you are in for some major headaches in any banner type advertisements, I'm afraid.
Search for the term "ad blindness".
Your uniques seem to suggest otherwise, but thought I'd pass that along.
