CJ.com EPC.Horrible

Is it just me, or is something wrong?

My EPC has dropped 200% in the past 2 weeks. I emailed them and they claim there are no tracking issues.

Anyone else seeing a drop? Are we being ripped off?

Incidentally, the drop occurred Feb 25th and has stayed low ever since.

Can anyone else confirm?

I can't help you much. I look for good merchant partners at CJ.com, but, after a few months most ask me to enter into a direct deal/contract with them and avoid CJ.

Right now I don't have a partner that still goes through CJ, so I have no data to help you!

My experience with CJ is a bit like a singles bar, find people who you want to hook up with, but, stop frequenting the bar afterwards!

Sometimes I wonder if there are employees at CJ that are doing some side businesses as affiliates since we and the merchants are totally reliant on them for tracking. What happen throughout the various redirects when a visitor clicks on your affiliate link, etc.

The thought worries me especially with the recent poor conversion since the last quarter of last year (the so call upgrades).

this is not the first time I have heard this about CJ. I read posts like this quite often in different forums. I don't work with this program so I don't have any first hand knowledge but I can tell you that it seems strange that other people have complained about similar things. Most say that as soon as they start to make really good sales their sales suddenly drop and they never get any kind of explanation. They just tell them this is normal and there are no problems.

I would consider switching if I were you. I'm an affiliate manager at a network and we keep direct contact with all our affiliates so things like this don't happen.

You can add me to that list. I dropped most CJ links a long time ago. My experience was that the sales just always seemed too low compared the clicks for most products.
