Advice for new affiliates

I'm just getting my feet wet in affiliate marketing. Besides doing a lot of my own research, I going to need all the advice I can get from fellow affiliates that already have some experience in the field. Major props and thanks!

Try to give us some more information about where you're at. Do you know what or how you are planning to promote? Do you have your own site?

One advice.. Affiliate marketing requires lot of patience apart from hard work. Don't expect to see the results of your hard work right away.
