Is Chitika doing anything others haven't done, such as Google and Yahoo Publishers Network? Or is Chitika just more upfront and transparent when they often speak at their blog about filtering and fraud?

Alot of people posted that they were banned for fraudulent clicks. Is this unusual or something only Chitika does; or does Chitika do it more frequently?

Is Chitika the only one who has ever delayed payments as they announced recently?

Every network filters out fraudulent clicks and publishers, I guess chitika just had more backlash than the others.

In general I'd say that chitika is really great at monetizing a website, provided the content/audience is a proper match. I still think it's worth trying chitika, sometimes it pays more than adsense, sometimes not.

zivkovicp, I was trying to understand why so many publishers are having fits over a of the actions of Chitika, calling them nameslike S***ka and Cheatka. Their ads are working super at my site and I want to put it on every page. I haven't because of all the hoopla. If Chitka goes under, like a few stated they think will happen, I stand to loose a good amount of money. Now with the delay in payment, concerns naturally increase.

For me Chitika is a FRAUD and is playing FOUL, First they deducted 57% of my earnings in Audit and next month I received a mail that my traffic is Fradulent however I am being paid by Adsense for the same traffic, This is really ridiculous, My traffic is 100% legit and I had offered them to have my server logs and prove my site clicks as FRAUD,Moreover I had referred 14 publishers to them, If they really have a legit reason to boot me out why are they not responding to my questions, the help ticket is waiting for a answer since last 8 days? I am a international publisher, and I am unable to take legal action against them. I pray GOD Chitika pay for their actions.

I ran YPN and Chitika on my sites and usually on the same pages. Both networks saw the same traffic, which is nearly all US based. I watch my sites very closely for click fraud and have had no problems, yet Chitika seems to think otherwise and discounts with a heavy hand.

My problem as a publisher is an A or B situation.

EITHER

A) Chitika has unrealistic quality control standards, much beyond YPN or Google and it is costing me money.

OR

B) Chitika is knowingly discounting legit clicks, which come from the same traffic as YPN and it is costing me money.

RESULT

I am losing money compared to YPN. I have no problem with Chitika policing their system but something doesn't add up. Same traffic, 3x clicks on Chitika vs YPN but 50x more fraud? I think the issue is a lack of transparency and I simply don't trust them any longer.

SOLUTION

Drop Chitika and run YPN and aff marketing, two systems that I trust.

apparently Chitika is not smart enough to develop smart pricing so instead they exclude portion of legitimate clicks as illegitimate or if you have higher ctr/ecpm than they consider normal they simply boot you without any further investigation
