Hi,

I have a website i designed with a wysiwyg editor. It has an online store with all my products avaliable for sale through online ordering. I have developed a relationship with someone in a similar field but different enough not to be competition. They want to offer people who come to their site the opportunity to buy my products. They want to replicate my online store on their site but i'm not keen to do this. How could i set up a cost effective affiliate program to do this....considering this will be my only affiliate....and i don't expect to have to many more.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Do you take the orders yourself and do you know any scripting?

If so you could adapt your order form to pass one more variable and value, something like: affiliate=partner1

Any order where affiliate has a value you'd know the sale was made through an affiliate.
The affiliate could link to your site in this way:

[example.com...]

The form could make this name/value pair into a hidden input field to be submitted along with the other order data. You could optionally email the affiliate with the data as soon as someone hits the submit button on the order form.

If you don't make you own order forms then I guess you should hope for someone else to post something more useful :) A lot of your options depend on your specific situation and technical skills.

Why not just let the affiliate use slightly different prices?
Say all prices end in 92 cents or something?
Then as orders come in you can know who to credit them to.
You don't need a high tech solution if you have few affiliates.
