CJ UK Merchant Signup

Just me, or terrible response rate?

I'm looking to sign up as a merchant with CJ in the UK - 3 forms and three phone calls later, it feels like they've either checked and rejected the site and can't be bothered to tell me, are bogged down with an infinity of merchants itching to sign up, or are incredibly sluggish.

I know the obvious response is go with someone else, but I want to gain access to US and international markets, so it would seem the best option, if I ever get beyond stock responses and promises to call back.

I was told yesterday that the sales department werent there today. That was before i'd given any information, so i didn't take it personally, but still struck me as an odd statement.

Any other merchants have a similar experience?

As a non-US advertiser trying to work with CJ I get the feeling I am mostly ignored, both by CJ and by their merchants. It seems to be altogether a US-centric system, I only hope they don't treat all their advertisers with as much disregard as they do me. I know you're not asking for the advetisers perspective, but I'm just throwing that out there in case it helps.

actually, I should have used Advertiser instead of Merchant. I instinctively prefer Merchant/Affiliate to Advertiser/Publisher, but that's not what's generally used.

oops, meant to say publisher - sorry a little dyslexic before I've had my coffee.

I also tried to filter AS ads through my adwords account instead of the adsense account today, gotta keep the coffee flowing...

You would be surprised how ignorant some of the Merchants can be.

Having said that, a mail using the CJ interface to the merchant can usually fix the problem if you send them a nice juicy search result or show them your site.

Most rejections are automagic. I don't bother with manual rejections... not worth chasing someone, there is always Amazon or another merchant for virtually *anything* that is on CJ -- in my sectors.
