Hello,
I have submited my application to try out Chitika. I was wondering if anyone here knows how long Chitika takes to review my site before I can use their service? They do their reviews by hand so I am sure it varies depending on how many people have applied in the past few days, anyone have any idea?

Thanks,
John

I got accepted within a few hours of applying, but I applied when it was new.

Maybe the Chitika people are all busy reading how bad their ad unit changes have been on WebmasterWorld.com and other forums.

About 2 hours for me.

But I guess they have more work now and because it's also weekend you'll probably have to wait a little bit longer.

I was accepted on Oct 27, so it took two days for them to review my site.

I emailed them requesting to turn on contextual ads on Oct 31, and they said it would take 24-48 hours. I haven't heard back from them since after sending 4 emails and submitting an official support ticket.

I decided to give up around Nov 5th.

Danny,

I would not advise you to use Contextual mode.

It is a biggest advantage that YOU can decide what
to show on your site.

Just place the code, switch off context mode and start searching for RIGHT products for your visitors.

It is all about RIGHT product.

photo200, unfortunately, plugginf in the keywords manually wouldn't work for me due to the different sections of my site. What might be valid for one page/section would be invalid for another. This is why I asked Chitikia to turn on contextual mode for me.
