We were approached by an advertiser of a large merchandize group who wants to purchase a link from our main page, which has a PR 6.

They would like to pay yearly.

What would be a fair price for a yearly text ad from a PR 6 main page of a very respected site?

We are not eager to give the link, We want to keep our pages as clean as possible.

So, please give me some ranges.

Thank you.

If all your site is, is a pr 6 site then its not worth anything.

If its a pr 6 with 100k backlinks, high traffic, great content, loyal visitors, great ranking for your own keywords, relevant to the advertisier...than I would say it could be worth 100 per month or more to the right advertiser.

i think there are 2 reasons that people buys ads - 1 is to really get traffic and sales from targetted visitors, the other is strictly for pr reasons (ie text links) - in this latter case, i stick by my number...
