Hi all,

First off, I'm perhaps *the* least technical person on all of WebmasterWorld, so forgive the stupidity of my question.

I have a blog (hosted on Blogspot) and want to insert Chitika code into it. How do I do this? When I'm in Blogspot and on the 'Edit Current' tab of 'Templates' I see all the HTML code, but don't know where specifically I should insert the Chitika snippet?

If you haven't noticed, I couldn't be less technical.

Please help a no-techie!

Andy Wibbels has a lovely Flash tutorial to add eMiniMalls to blogger. If that fails, please do send us an email.

His blog is the first result on Google for "andy wibbels".

That and the fact that you do know where to find Europe on a map ..
Now if you could just explain that to the guys at "Y" and "MSN" ..;))

Plus, when I put an ad up and it has a CTR and an EPC, I could come back a month from now and be pretty sure it will have around the same CTR and EPC.

Now if you could just explain that to the guys at 'G' in California..

As long as someone has started a "Newbie Chitika" thread, I thought I'd throw in a couple of questions also?.

1. When I first read Chitika's terms, I read something about publishers not being allowed to alter the code. At the same time, I was reading on forums about a way to alter the code to disable the contextual feature so the ads could appear on the same page as AdSense. Is altering the code allowed or not?

2. Is there a place I can find these code alterations, assuming it's allowed?

hi chitika...

I am trying out chitika and am really impressed.

I think u have a great product & wish u all the best!

The colorful emalls enhance the appearance of the page.

I would like to know if ...

1)There is a secured delivery option (DHL/Fedex) for non-US publishers?

This is something I've been wondering about for a while. Are we allowed to draw attnetion to the Ads with a line such as 'You can purchase this widget from the advert below' or 'we reccomend puchasing from the link below' above your Ads?

I'm guessing not due to this line in the TOS:

not intentionally post misleading information with regard to the Paid Listings or directly or indirectly encourage or require users to access the Paid Listings or to otherwise generate click-throughs through any means which could be interpreted as coercive, misleading, malicious or otherwise fraudulent.

However I'm not sure how telling someone they could find the product using the ad below could be viewed as misleading or fraudlent.

Can I just get some clarification on that?

It is very difficult, during normal page construction, to avoid mentioning what seems like an elephant in your living room.

I don't talk about the ads, but I talk about specific products, saying "x is best for this y is best for that, you might want to consider z if you want whatever". And whaddya know? There they all are just underneath :)
