Does Google penalize us for running Alternative Ads

I hear many complaints on this forum lately about CTR, eCPM and or earnings being cut in half.
At the same time, many of us have started serving Chitika ads on their pages.
Could there be a connection?

No, Google has been very clear about it, as long as you are not using Chitika contextual ads you are in the clear, but you might be on to something if you take in consideration the visitor distraction factor, it is only logical if you have AS and Chitika side by side one CTR is likely to hurt the other.

What are Chikita ads and why should they be used are they Search listings? if so what is the Revenue per click they offer compared to the G monster (GOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle)
