What, in your experience or opinion, is the minimum amount of traffic that a site needs before one can look into selling advertising space?
What about selling advertising on ezines? any tips, experience, suggestions? What is the mimumum number of subscribers one needs?

Your site being in the Alexa top 100,000 would help. But smaller sites can succeed if targetting a valuable niche. That would be my guess, anyway.

Depends on the site in question. If it is a localised site you could sell ad space straight away. Charge for listings, etc. Other sites people may want high traffic levels others may not depending on the product/service sold, if it is a high ticket item, etc. If you are selling CPM space then you may need 1000's of visitors daily but then again you may not. I don't think there is a general rule other than if you can sell space then sell it, or try and see if people are willing to pay!
I personally think the future in AM is the value of advertising space on your sites but I could be wrong.

Kinda OT, but am I the only one who thinks Alexa is worthless? I have days with 5,000 UV's and Alexa has those evil dashes of nothing: --

I have to agree with Andkon,
My alexa stats are nothing to be proud of, but both my daily unique visitors and page views prove otherwise.
Would this be due to the fact that in order to be counted the visitor must be coming from Alexa's toolbar?
