Not a problem, but my wife attended PubCon1 last year and I don't think siteseeing competes any more. We'll do that before and after.

When's a good date on a weekend in oct? First or second sounds good.
Where? No clue yet.
How long, Friday Night and a good portion of saturday.

It would be nice if we could have some presentations, and maybe a speaker or two.

At least I'll have better idea of who I am 'mumbling incoherently at' this time. I'll also be staying over this time, so I can mumble incoherently for far longer.

..but OCTOBER!!! it seems like a decade away. Still, think how much more information we will have rattling around our heads by then.

I'm still gutted that I had to miss out on the BarConference, so nothing short of terminal is gonna keep me away from "PubConference II - The (British) Empire Strikes Back" ;)

BTW, I took a pretty good drubbing from the corporate types who had to turn expense reports under the old names (PubConference and BarConference) sooooo....
in the great spirit and tradition of this community we're going to have a small selection of conference names complete with multiple domains (is there any other way?). But at the core, it's still PubConference.

BTW2, for those not familiar with what we're raving about... the old PubConference page now has a quickie iframe split between this forum for planning the 2002 event and the old 2001 pages. Updates soon. PubConference.com [pubcon.com]

Most European airlines require Saturday night at the destination for the really cheap deals, so you may want to reconsider that. The same goes for a lot of hotels. Saturday afternoon and a good portion of Sunday would reduce the overall cost for the European participants.

rc: If you were downwind from the UK you would grumble too. Fact is, when the Brits can't take it any more, they pass their weather on to us. Weather is their chief export to Scandinavia.
