I'll be in London in early October, who's up for a pint? I'm bringing friends!
Yes, the main event is still going to be Saturday afternoon. Friday evening (and probably well into the night) will be some of those breakout sessions and such that just about everyone has said they wanted 'next time.'
I'd assume if the event concludes late Saturday evening, most folks will stick around overnight and depart on Sunday anyhow. For Irvine, the special hotel rates were for Fri/Sat night with event on Sat. So I think we'll try for discount rates on Thu/Fri/Sat nights for this event, at the least?
(I strongly recommend leaving no earlier than *late* Sunday afternoon, if you stay up late Sat. night... Flying out of Irvine first thing Sun. AM was no picnic last weekend. ;) )

What someone has suggested for the Yanks, is to look for a group rate via one of the airlines and all fly to say Raliegh NC (major international hub), then all get on the same plane, and fly over there.

After having become familiar with The Tube [thetube.com] rain/cold really wouldn't matter all that much. I was popping up all over London... sometimes in the right spot.
That would be one hell of a plane ride! I would be in for that!
Well I was thinking, it is quite a long journey from SoCal, so we might need to put together a travel party and all head over on the same flight. It could be kinda like AirCon. :)
A quick check of rates shows it's not at expensive as I originally thought. Better save my pennies.
