[webmasterworld.com...]

SqueezeCon? lol.

Ya, we are going to wedge one in here before the big #7.

A bunch of us are going to be there anyway, and we were planning a pub crawl when someone said the magic word "conference" - so lets do it!

This thing will probably sell out fast...

> Why would I want to miss part of the most fabulous time of year in Alaska, to go over to England in the middle of tourist season?

To hang out with your friends and talk shop! :)

You and me both Mivox. Too much going on to make arrangements in this short a time frame and my piggy-bank is empty from several long-term projects.

And I actually didn't realize that June was this close! :o

It is a long trip for me, but if I could hit the last day of SES and PubCon, I will probably do it. What is the consensus on the hotel? Is the Novotel London West a reasonable distance from the Pub?

To hang out with your friends and talk shop!

Well, obviously! hehe
And if one of those friends ponies-up $1000+ for my airfare, I'll be happy to skip a week of mosquito season to go talk shop!

In the meantime, keeping my fingers crossed would make it really hard to work, so I won't bother. ;)

I missed the LA one when I lived in Florida. I move west and the last one was in Florida...now I was looking forward to London and it comes up very fast...hours after I use all my frequent flyer miles on a trip to see my father-in-law. Ugh.

Any more specifics for first timers? Is Friday the only day? So travel would be safe from Wednesday to a Sunday or so? Want to definitely go but I don't want to jump in with incaccurate info or short change my travel schedule.

So how small is this Brett? I mentioned to one of your Exhibitors from Orlando that you were planning to do this short term, and I believe they are presenting at a large show in London that ends on the 4th.

Taking advertisers?

Hey Guys, If this was in the US or Canada I would never make it, so we will miss you, and raise our glasses in rememberance. I can hear 4eyes now:

"this is one of mivox's favourites"

or me:

"lorax loves his whisky, shame he is not sharing this Glenmorangie"

To absent friends ;~>
So where is it?

This lil limey is over the moon it's in London after missing #6 in Orlando due to Sue (my wife) giving birth to Daniel (our first) on the 19th Jan.

So I see this as a wetting of his head as much as a normal Pub Con. Now what beer shall I go for to wet it with?

Yeah, I was looking forward to a family vacation in the UK. Bit of a bummer. Having said that, I'm sure I can find a way to swing it.

Every year after SES I give my long suffering better half a short break in Wales on our drive back to N. Ireland from London - so can't make this PubCon, I'm afraid as I'll be setting off on the Thursday. I'll see if I can get at least one from the team there though.

Anyway, I'll hopefully see some you around the Novotel during the week for a few preparatory drinks ;)

I'll second that, Perth here we come. We expect you to see there Brett! ;)

Won't make it this time, I wish I could, but there's no way I can make it. :(

Out of interest. Wasn't the Thistle sold/up for sale since the last Pubcon? As cool as it was, the selection/service at the bar sucked.

The company that owned/owns the Thistle came to see me at the World Travel Market exhibition a while after Pubcon, wanting SEO advice. I mentioned to them that they'd had 300+ of the world's best in one of their hotels a few weeks previous. They thought I was making it up. :)

<Hotel should not be the Thistle<

I agree. we should try and arrive at a consensus in short order though, times a marching.

Probably no go here, pricey flights, not enough time to plan for it, not already going to be there for SES. Just have to wait until fall. :(

Have fun for me!
I was desperatly hoping to go since I missed Orlando:(
It looks like I'd have to wait and sit this one out one more time. I've never been to a pubcon yet.

ThomasB actually, but yeah I'll be at the Novotel. Doesn't make sense to move the hotel for 1 night imho. The cab can't be that expensive I hope. :)

Novotel looby seems to be the place for the after show pubcon party.

I'm there along with a few others.

best room rate going I think is around 89 per night from [novotel.com...] direct
