(Austin, TX - USA) WebmasterWorld.com, the web's highest trafficked super forum, has announced its next Internet Marketing Conference (aka Pubconference [pubcon.com]) in Orlando, Florida, USA. The three-day event, commencing on Thursday 26th February 2004, will feature four conference tracks covering Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Affiliate Programs and Site Ownership/Webmaster Technology issues.

Previous conferences have attracted more than a thousand delegates from around the globe, and according to conference organizer Brett Tabke, "After the early sell-out of our London conference in September 2003 we anticipate a similar heavy demand from around the world for places at the Florida event." There will be several keynote speeches throughout the event and ample opportunity for delegates to question and meet many of the world's leading search technology companies and executives.

The event is sponsored by major search and marketing firms, including Google, Overture, Yahoo, PositionTech and GoToast.

Hotel not booked - no - suites are gone, but the "double" rooms are not. Make sure to request the "doubles". They have 90 rooms left.

I found differences in availability on the national web site vs. the local hotel's site vs. phone booking.

I just called and got 2 doubles. Suites are gone :(

Anyway, the website shows them as NA but they still have some. Sorry about the mis-information

I just sent an email to Clarion re Internet access. They said that "a wireless internet connection is available", but "you're computer must have the software to hot-sync the IP address".

Anyone what they mean (or know some details about Internet access there?)

I called the Clarion one hour ago and it now seems that everything really is sold out...suites, doubles everything. Anyone have a recommendation for some nice accomodation, (not econo lodge or something like that), which is within walking distances?

I just booked too. I've never been to the US before!

I was wondering what kind of clothes to pack. Is it actual bikini and full sunblock weather, or will I be able to wear jeans without fainting?

And what about the crocodiles? Aren't there crocodiles in Florida?

Um, what's with the "casino blasters" as sponsors? What does that have to do with webmastering? Are porn sponsors next?

No crocs, Icicle, just alligators! Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

The gator/croc distinction confuses lots of people. The University of Florida teams are known as the Gators, and when their football games are televised you can see their fans making gator-chomping motions with their arms. Last fall's football program (glossy magazine for distribution in the stadium and to Gator fans all over) featured a cover photo of a fearsome alligator, or so they thought. The photo was actually a crocodile, and the gaffe made national news. I'm sure the UF Zoology department was mortified. ;)
