Why would a top portal like T-Online design their entire site in frames?
Just easier navigation? I don't think I've seen another big portal developed in frames. I know that Y! MSN Lycos etc would do it this way.
Is this a European thing for portals?

T-Online is famous for the terrible design of its web portal. But according to an article in the german newspaper "Die Zeit" there seems to be an relaunch soon with better usability.

The German Telecom sites, including T-Online, are a complete nightmare to navigate. I think they did it that way because they just didn't know better. It's a multi-billion enterprise after all, what did you expect? ;)

Thanks for the reply.
I was wondering what they were thinking ;)
The biggest question is when you click a link it is launching all new frames every time. Why wouldn't you just work with one page changing instead of all pages within the frame work.
