I think that is it wisser. I spent a really long time looking for such utils this summer and your list and my list were all that I could find in Europe.

That is just too bad. Means that we can kiss any thought of keyword databases for big languages such as French, Italian and Spanish good-bye. ****!

I've also heard that WebCrawler is stepping up it's anti keyword raiding campaign too. Our keyword spy over at sew was banned a few weeks ago. (althought, I will admit, I had one of the backdoors to the root search log).

Rumbas: That page you linked to in Kvasir.no is pretty neat and will actually give the frequency count for any keyword for the last month. Very useful. (Enter words one by one and click on the button. A list will be built in the lower part of the page.)

the new bid-engine QualiGo [qualigo.de] in Germany has got a keyword-tool what seems to be the same as that from Goto.
you only have access when you step in to set up a account. after three steps there is recommended to check your search-terms with the "suchwörterbuch" (search-dictonary). there aren´t that much keywords in and it should show (like Goto) all searches related to the single kw you entered (but it didn´t when I tried). but it could be a very good search-tool for the future, when we have still access to it without being an advertiser.

Thanks heini and welcome back Wisser. I have updated your original entry with all findings up to Abacho, above. We have Germany and the Nordic countries well covered and one source for British English. But surely there has to be more? Aren't there any sources for French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch? Search.ch does give a mixture of German, Franch and Italian, but clearly is not enough.

There are some sites that do not support a live voyeur, but at least a listing of the top keywords:

Abondance [abondance.com] lists "le Top 10 des mots clés" for 12 French Search Engines.
This [indicateur.com] is a collection of links leading to various "most wanted" keyword lists, some of them French.
The Lycos Top 50 [50.lycos.com] are also available in French [lycos.fr].
But I was not able to find a live voyeur in France.

Success in Italy:
Check this out: www.janas.it [janas.it].
On the left side (quite near to the top) there's a link "MONITOR le ultime 10 ricerche". Follow that link, carefully read the instructions in the pop up window and select "accetto".

it seems that there are no SE's that allow spies in French. It is even hard to find a source concerning keywords in this language. There are the classic tools like jimtools.com, but since they have been initially built up for English language users, they do not filter enough the results.

Indeed. It seems that the best for French is Eureka's top 100 list. But, of course, for serious SEO work you need the top 30.000 at the very least, twice that if you go for full phrases.

Thanks for the research pikaia and welcome to the European forum. That Italian thing was incredible. To see 10 keywords, you must read and accept a very long legal disclaimer.

But all search engines need money and I have heard privately from several sources about some search engines selling keywords on request. I wonder if that could be true for some of the French engines?

I have looked a bit arround and it seems that concerning French SE's it is not yet possible to buy keywords or to bid for them. In some months or one or two years maybe...

The German market is already doing it, but I cannot say which SE does it particularly.

Godado.it [godado.it] has a keyword statistics tool similar to GoTo's. Click the "K-LookUp" button in the top row. It opens in a separate window without navigation buttons and gives you all the search phrases during the previous month, which contained the word or phrase. Very useful and so far, the only known source for Italian keywords.
