Steve Ballmer and Ron Sommer, Boss of german telco giant Telekom, announced at the Cebit a partnership, in which Telekom will integrate NET technology.

In a first step Telekom customers will be able to access intranets and e-mails from mobile devices, starting end of the year.

Meanwhile 1&1, one of Germany's largest webhosters, has the first NET services up and running, including team management functions, outlook hosting and frontpage hosting.

MS Germany meanwhile hires: 100 new employees this year, growing from 1300. Ballmer announced revenue growth of 10% at the very least.

Heini,

is Telekom a terestrial provider, or are they into mobile networking ?
I thought that Vodafone, is the biggest, with maybe Wannado being next, then possibly Orange

In Germany the telekom is No 1 for everything, well nearly.

Telekom still holds the vast majority of the terrestrial sector.

As T-mobile is clear leader in mobile sector, with Vodafone coming in second.
Third is E-plus, as of lately completely owned by KPN, Netherlands counterpart to Telekom. E-plus is the company starting put with i-mode these days.

T-online is #1 portal, and #1 ISP by lenghts.
