Not on MSN anymore

Our site URL was previously owned by our chamber of commerce. Our description on MSN was all about the commerce before and nothning about the other stuff we offer. They accepted changes in ZEAL and now we are not listed in MSN at all. We were #2 for our search word, now gone. Any suggestions?

I think this is to do with the big changes happening on MSN - basically they are in the process of dumping Looksmart (which Zeal is part of). Some more details here:

I have also had problems with my website listed in MSN. The Zeal directory does not have much value anymore - I would try submitting your website to Inktomi if you have not done so.

I agree.

We are tuning for Ink also. I don't know when MSN will release its search engine, but I imagine it will be a while. In the meantime, Ink results should top the listings after Dec 31. That is unless MSN has a change of heart and extends its looksmart contract beyond the end of the year.

My site is listed today in MSN directory.
Before five days site is listed in LOOKSMART.
Before ten days site is listed in ZEAL.

So, I think ZEAL still works!

What you report seems to be an anomaly. I had tens of Zeal listings across a broad spectrum of topics, and traffic from MSN is just a mere fraction of what it was on Nov 4. For eg, one site that easily averaged 300 uniques from MSN now gets around 10.

But if you've still got traffic from there, good for you - just don't count on it after Jan 14. :)
