Any idea as to which search providers/sites/etc will start using LookSmart results?

-second tier content sites that have conflict of interests, or just refuse to work with O or G.

-partner sites ("friends") of LS, whose management, Board members, investment bankers, or brokerage firms own LS stock

-or management, Board members, investment bankers, or brokerage firms who own LS stock and have mutual investments in partner sites ("friends") willing to lend a hand

~seriously

either that our LS gives away a 80-90% short-term rev split to generate new contracts until it has traction

how about all of the above

LS at one time had a deal with Cox Media (Cox bought in, as I recall). They provided search 'fill' for some of their sites --particular newspapers. I'm getting good daily traffic from Cox cable ISPs, but they're Google 'partners' now.

what in the world is the compelling reason to not be a G or O partner? if your interest is in maximizing revenue, with quality and relevant ad distribution through proven leaders that are growing, stable, and increasing their bid rates at the fastest pace in the industry, why in the world would you choose LS?

it would have to be naive management, conflict of interest, or vested interests. oh- or previously existing contracts.

nice link rcjordan ~ ahh, when words meant more than dollars.

The must get some decent traffic from their other partners, not huge but the search tracking systems we use can't pick up the source of anywhere up to about 30% of it and there are sales rung up from that "other" traffic so it doesn't all come from a click bot.
