The site I'm workign on was (is) suffering from what I thought was a Firefox only CSS problem. Its a 2 column site, with the left column as a float.

The problem is in Firefox 1.07 and 1.5 beta 1 was that the length of the site did not render properly, the bottom of the page got cut off. However it does render fine in Safari and IE 6.

Since upgrading to Firefox 1.5 beta 2 the problem has gone, it now looks correct. So whats been fixed or broke that is now makign my site render probably.

Thanks

Firefox 1.5 (which was originally intended to be Firefox 1.1) uses the new version of the Gecko rendering engine, version 1.8. Firefox 1.0x uses 1.7x version of the gecko engine which I personally think sucks.

The nightly builds of Firefox will have some inconsistencies but less so when they are in betas or rcs versions.

If you know your stuff in regards to (x)html/css and are sure what is the correct behavior and it becomes bugged overnight be sure to file a bug for firefox.
