I have a situation (on an outside machine) where I have set up multiple profiles, one for me, and one for others. When opening Firefox the user is prompted to select the profile to be used. Is there any way to restrict access to one of those profiles (password?) so that it can only be used by one person?

I don't think you can do this directly in Firefox, but if you are sharing the same basic login to the machine then the profile won't be secure anyway.

The best way to handle this would be at the OS level - for example you should set up separate password-protected logins for each user. You can define the access rules for each person not just for Firefox but for everything else as well. Each separate login would have its own Firefox profile.

I was afraid that that was going to be the case. That won't be an option for this environement. If I could find a way, I'd be okay locking anyone out of using my Firefox profile, but separate OS user accounts/logons isn't going to happen.
