Firefox: problem to login on secure site

Since a couple of weeks I use Firefox as my default browser.
When trying to login to my Adsense account at [google.com...] sometimes it doesn't work: instead of getting my account page, the login screen keeps returning after I enter my username/password. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. Rather strange, isn't it?...

When I login to other (non-secured) sites, I have no problems at all.

What can be the problem?

Happens to me here at WebmasterWorld if I use IE 5.5 ..via a click on a notification in outlook express ..not every time but say one in ten even with the cookie present ..

Top of the page says "welcome Leosghost etc" ..and still shows me the login box ...

If I come back to the same thread with firefox ..there's no problem ....

I figure it depends on the aftershave ...; )
