Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040914 Firefox/0.10I haven't had much luck with this release (nor did I with the move to 0.9) - it coredumped on the first run, but I eventually got it going. It broke the Web developer extension, the default theme is as awful as ever, and the Qute theme from 0.9 isn't compatible and there doesn't seem to be a new Qute yet.
I decided to switch back to 0.9.3 in the meantime, but the Web developer extension is now broken there too, so I'll stick with 1.0PR. Let's just hope the new Qute is available soon!
I also particularly like the large padlock icon on the address bar on a https page, as well as the site name repeated in the taskbar at the bottom to help beat phishing attacks.
This lazy debian user isn't amongst those happy 502,659 and will be waiting for the .deb release - but 0.9x is keeping us happy enough.

I wont be truely happy until 1.1 though...scroll fix wont be until then...and Flash will never dominate my work.

The mail options hook into your default mailer. At work I (grudgingly) use Outlook, and both those options pull up Outlook and a new Outlook message.
What Linux flavor are you running, encyclo?
Mandrake 9.1 - but Firefox is manually-installed in a non-standard directory and symlinked, so I'm asking for trouble!
It works well now after a few wobbles at the beginning. I had to uninstall the web developer extension and reinstall it, and Qute was updated within 2 days! So, I'm happy again now. The memory leak is still there, though - I suppose it would only be noticeable on a slow machine like mine, but it's dificult to identify a particular cause, so it's hard to file a bug report. I'll keep my fingers crossed for 1.0 final, but even with that problem it's still the best browser around by far.
Matthew, when I installed 1.0 PR, it retained my pipelining settings from 0.9.3....
Yes, it will if you use the old profile. I always do a fresh, clean installation in a new directory with a new profile, and reset the preferences. I've found that helps me find whatever new features exist, trim off a few unnecessary extensions, etc.
<edit> I also always use the ZIP version too, never the installer. Might make a difference. </edit>
Anyway, 1.5 million in, what is this, 8 days? That's more than two a second!
