How to highlight text on web pages with FireFox?

How can I allow text highlighting in FireFox?

I am unable to highlight text on web pages in FireFox as I am on IE. How can I allow this in FireFox?

I know of no special settings, Spyder - just click and drag as normal. Is the ordinary approach not working at all for you, or just on certain pages?

Must be a defective extension I installed. I have been having problems with extension lately. Really a time eater to resolve them.
