Hi
Just joined the forum
I posted this in the Webmaster General forum
perhaps incorrectly
I'm just a systems management guy not really a web designer..
and certainly ot a webmaster
to my question, plea for help really..

Our website uses layers to display content including
a flash contact form and an iframe to load a shopping cart

I have two problems:
first problem only affects Internet Explorer;
everything works as expected,
except when shopping cart items are displayed and
the browser is refreshed;
the shopping cart column frame outline is displayed over graphic of default page..
it disappears after clicking the shopping cart then home links,
but is very annoying and i can't seem to fix this.
again, only affects Iternet Explorer.

second problem only affects firefox browser;
the Mailing list link uses a flash form which disappears when you attempt to enter data.
worked fine before iframe and shopping cart was added

any light shed on this will be greatly appreciated
design flaw, whatever..

website is: <Sorry, no personal URLs.

Hi PCUser32 and welcome to WebmasterWorld!

How are you positioning your iFrame and Flash? What sort of events and behaviours are you applying to these elements?

You're problem sounds interesting but without a little more detail around structure etc. it's going to be hard to solve!

The first obvious questions are what DTD are you using and most of all, have you validated the mark-up?

W3C Validator - HTML [validator.w3.org]
W3C Validator - CSS [jigsaw.w3.org]
